Literature Text
Will someone pierce through
These menacing walls
That triumph proudly
Over ruin?
For I've grown too thin
In forging their strengths
In a juvenile fit of rage
They've climbed beyond
My pitiful reach
And loom with the angst
I've thoughtlessly spawned
I've hurled myself
Into a mire of weakness
Reborn, a hapless fawn
With frail knees
And a haunted, unwavering stare
These menacing walls
That triumph proudly
Over ruin?
For I've grown too thin
In forging their strengths
In a juvenile fit of rage
They've climbed beyond
My pitiful reach
And loom with the angst
I've thoughtlessly spawned
I've hurled myself
Into a mire of weakness
Reborn, a hapless fawn
With frail knees
And a haunted, unwavering stare

A sorry caution
A sorry caution "Sorry" can be overused, lose its meaning. Be abused. Not said with real and true intention. As if just mumbled in passing mention. Not honestly felt and with heart. When excuse-invention, is the art. Yet a sorrow show of regret and meaningful apology, can also sound and receive like marvellous melody. Ease the pain and not in vain. Make close again friends, and make amends. It is in that sense like a flame or flare, caution, please: handle with care. Updated, Edited and written by Piezometric Poetry on 09-06-2023 Poem artwork

whale song
it’s quarter after midnight.
above, blocking needlepoint patches of stars,
a whale swims across the sky.
she does not belong there.
held up by fog instead of ocean,
she inhales deeply the thin, cold air,
and hopes for the best.
i wish i had lungs
that could hold fresh air for half an hour.
blankets of fat wrapped warm
around the muscles of my body,
voice slow and soft,
heart strong enough to pump blood for miles.
you are my ocean
& i am not a whale.
i only wish
i’d brought a stronger boat.

still hiding
I've come so far only to find myself still hiding beneath the surface of my own scrutiny
