Friends, relatives, and associates
Rejected and quickly swept under the carpet
Living their alternative lives
Daring to break from the mold of society
They bear the labels on their backs
Persecuted because she chose her
Alienated because he chose him
Enraged and confused
Misunderstanding and fear take hold of them
Waving their torches and pitch forks in the air
Marching to the steady drum beat
So called perverts, and deviants
Driven into the asylums
Facilities constructed for brainwashing youth
Infiltrating their minds
Staying true to themselves
Spitting out the foul medicine
Fly the banner of freedom high
So that it may tower the intolerance of old
Wiped clean from the face of the earth
For eternity
Standing proud , so truthful and honest
No longer cowering from the person in the mirror
Friends, relatives, and associates
Rejected and quickly swept under the carpet
Living their alternative lives
Daring to break from the mold of society
They bear the labels on their backs
Persecuted because she chose her
Alienated because he chose him
Enraged and confused
Misunderstanding and fear take hold of them
Waving their torches and pitch forks in the air
Marching to the steady drum beat
So called perverts, and deviants
Driven into the asylums
Facilities constructed for brainwashing youth
Infiltrating their minds
Staying true to themselves
Spitting out the foul medicine
Fly the banner of freedom high
So that it may tower the intolerance of old
Wiped clean from the face of the earth
For eternity
Standing proud , so truthful and honest
No longer cowering from the person in the mirror

Boring
Waking up, knowing that the day has nothing to offer but Feelings of sorrow, anger, and loneliness, brought on by Unshakable boredom Stuck in this house with a crippled woman who Reminds me of my hatred for this life Friends miles away, busy with responsibilities Games don't detach me from reality like they used to Books remind me too much of school Movies contain too many triggers for me Art is losing its beauty Sleeping pills are now on my list of basic needs My dreams are far more entertaining Existing feels like a waste of time...

So In-Love With My Jesus
I can't believe how long I've gone,
Without feeling You're here,
I thought I'd die, I thought I'd fall,
But You made Your presence clear,
You tested me,
That I would follow what I know,
And I believe,
That You are here when You don't show,
And I will say,
That You're alive 'cause it's a fact,
And I proclaim,
That You're my Lord; I'm never going back,
I've come too far and walked too long,
And there's no way that I can say,
I never felt You by my side,
You always heard me when I prayed,
I know You're here within myself,
And that You love me more than life,
I want to breathe You into me,
Like rain on a hot mid-summers night,

Dreaming of Places We Have Never Been
In aquariums do fish dream of oceans? Do birds dream of far away skies in their cages? We dream of lands our ancestors traveled that our eyes have never seen - those explorers, homesteaders, immigrants and nomads - all voyagers and seekers, all mapping the story of humanity. There are answers that lie between shared experiences and memories passed down from generation to generation, in stories imprinted from birth that are eloquently written indelibly in our code that stay with us as we evolve. We are creatures made of stories. We are all animals with instincts to travel: to walk, to swim, to fly. Though we can be caught, kept and constricted, still, we are wild inside - rebellious voyagers and seekers, dreaming of places strange and familiar that we have never been. Whether we have gills or feathers or hair on our flesh, in the end, it doesn’t matter. And it doesn’t matter where we came from or who we are. We

I love how it gains momentum near the end, like an excellent proclamation. Good job!
